Chapter 83
Bellatrix wasn't quite sure how she got to a cafe on the west side of town.
Just minutes before, she’d been standing in front of Damien, gawking at him like a fish out of water and wondering what had brought him to her house, or better yet, how he'd managed to know she had moved back in and showed up here.
When she finally asked, his answer was simple. “I came to return this,” He told her, presenting an awfully familiar purse of hers and flashing her his usual spirited beam. “You left it with me the last time, remember?”
Of course she had. Bellatrix clearly remembered after all, that day wasn't one that was leaving her mind anytime soon.
“I see.” She muttered and reached out to grab said purse, but at the very last second, Damien withdrew his hand, putting the purse out of her reach thanks to his height.
Bellatrix stared up at it for a few seconds before returning her gaze to him. Although her expression remained composed, she raised a questioning brow.
