I went back to my dorm and took out my phone, tapping into my chat window with Liam. The last message was my cold, harsh message to him that read, "Throw it out."
I scrolled upward and saw that he'd asked me, "Do you still want your Christmas gift?"
I went further up and noticed that he asked me what I was having for dinner. There was even a link to a travel guide he'd excitedly sent me six months ago.
