#Chapter 200 – Epilogue

I woke up in the hospital. I opened my eyes, adjusting them to the dimmed lighting and seeing Sebastian sitting by my side. He jumped to his feet as soon as I opened my eyes. I thought I would have been in a world of pain, but everything just felt numb.
“Try not to move too much,” he says as he fixes my pillow. He grabs a glass of water on my bedside and brings it to my lips. The cold water feels good going down my throat and I smile at him in gratitude. “How are you feeling?”
“I’m okay,” I said to him in a hoarse tone. “How’s Wrenley?”
His face lights up at the mention of our daughter and I know that means good news.
“She’s perfect,” he breathes. “See for yourself.”
He goes across the room to a small bassinet and picks up the cooing baby. She’s wrapped in a pink blanket. She’s so small and as he brings her closer. She looks just as I remembered her. Her dark eyes peer up at me and for a moment, I see recognition.
