Hannah’s POV

“I had no idea she was your luna, your majesty…” the woman said, bowing her head as shame fell over her. Her body was visibly trembling, and she refused to meet my eyes. “It’s just a rule that…”         

“I don’t care what your excuse is. Apologize to my luna, now!” 

“I’m so sorry,” she said, lifting her gaze to meet mine. “Please… forgive me…” 

“This store should be open to the entire kingdom, not just Alphas, and Betas,” Sebastian said before I could say anything in response to her. 

“Yes, your majesty,” she said, bowing her head again. “I’m so sorry for being disrespectful.”

“I won’t allow this kind of disrespect in my kingdom,” he growled. 

“Of course,” she breathed. “I promise, it will never happen again.” 

Her attitude had completely transformed; I couldn’t believe the kind of power Sebastian had over others. I watched their exchange with such awe; as did eve

“I should go,” Amy stammered nervously as she brushed past us and exited the bathroom at a quick pace.  

I felt my face heating up as Sebastian continued to stare at me, amusement clear in his eyes. 

“I can explain,” I said softly; humiliated that he caught me speaking of his bed skills. 

A low laugh erupted from his throat as he made his way closer to me. What was he doing in the girl’s room anyway? 

Before I could open my mouth to ask, his hand was pressed against the wall behind me and his firm body was pressing against mine, pinning me to the wall. 

“What other skills of mine do you like?” He asked, his voice husky. 

My breathing was caught in my throat. 

What was he asking me right now? Was he being serious? 

“He smells so good,” Nora whispered, mesmerized by his nearness. “You want to kiss him, don’t you?”

Sebastian’s POV

"No, I'm just ...... curious about her."

“Ha, just curious?” 

“…Just curious.” 

He took a sip of water and pushed down the heat coming from his lower abdomen. 

Sebastian, you can control yourself. 

“Arnold, come in here for a second,” he called his Beta wolf into the study via mindlink. Beta Arnold was the only other wolf he truly trusted. 

Arnold arrived shortly after being called; nobody kept the wolf king waiting for fear of what he might do. Even if Arnold was a trusted Beta that worked closely with Sebastian, he wasn’t stupid enough to keep him waiting. 

“I can’t help but be suspicious about my new luna,” Sebastian admitted, meeting Arnold’s

obeying, yet curious, eyes. “I need you to investigate her.”



Naomi’s POV

“Now that we are family, I think it’s only fair that we ask for a small share of your assets,” Naomi said into the phone, clutching it eagerly as she waited for a response on the other end. 

“Is that so?” Queen Magnolia said after a short pause. 

“We are the luna queen’s family,” Naomi said. “Which means we are your family. We don’t have much money. I thought Hannah would have told you this already.” 

“She failed to mention it,” Queen Magnolia responded, her tone sounding disinterested. 

However, she didn’t sound too upset that Naomi had called her out of the blue. She had mentioned that she’s been wanting to talk to Naomi and get to know her a little better. Considering she was Hannah’s stepmother. 

“Stepmother to stepmother, I think we can make quite a beautiful team,” Naomi breathed. 

Queen Magnolia gave an icy laugh, but she didn’t deny what Naomi was saying was true. Naomi smiled as Magnolia agreed to send her a check, but they also agreed to never breathe a word of this to either Sebastian or Hannah.

It would be their little secret and if all goes to plan, Naomi was going to run the royal family dry of their money.

Hannah’s POV

“I don’t understand… you want me to what?” I asked, staring at my father with the utmost disgust on my face. 

I stood in his living room with my bags beside me on the ground, ready to leave for good. I had to admit that it was difficult leaving my old room, the one I once shared with Liam before he was sent to the hospital by my father and his wife, Naomi. 

“You think just because you married the wolf king you are in the clear?” My father said, narrowing his eyes at me. “You aren’t even close to being done here.” 

“What more do you want from me?” I asked, trying to keep the tears from welling up in my eyes. 

“Money,” Naomi answered for him, folding her arms across her chest. “We want money.” 

I stared between the two of them dumbfounded; Sebastian and I had just gotten married, and they were already requesting money from the royal family. I couldn’t believe they could be this shallow.

“If you want to see your brother again, you will do what we ask,” my father said, his tone darkening. 

My body shook uncontrollably as fury boiled through me; I couldn’t lose my temper though. I had to try to keep myself calm, for my brother’s sake. I kept reminding myself that I was doing this for Liam. I had to see him again. He was being kept from me and it wasn’t fair. 

“We just married…” I told them, my voice coming out as a whisper. “It wouldn’t look right if I…” 

“Don’t be such a selfish bitch,” Naomi hissed, curling her lip up at me in disgust as she spoke. “You’re his luna and you are doing this for your family. What’s his is yours and what’s yours is ours.” 

I swallowed hard, but I didn’t argue. I lifted my bags off the ground and held them close to me as I nodded. 

I had no more arguments left in me; I reluctantly agreed and hurried out of the house.

“My meeting is only up the street, and it shouldn’t be long. Lewis will return to you with the car once he drops me off,” Sebastian said as we pulled up to the boutique in King’s City. 

The driver, Lewis, nodded to me and I gave him a small smile to thank him. I stared over at the boutique, nervously. I had never entered such an elegant store before. My mother and I rarely came to the city because of how expensive everything was; plus, she never liked crowded areas. So, we stayed in our small rogue town and kept to ourselves with Liam. 

Sebastian gave me his credit card before I left the car; I felt awkward holding onto his card. I never used a credit card before and I wasn’t sure how it worked. I slipped it into my pocket and waved to them as they drove off, leaving me on the busy streets alone, in front of the boutique. 

I took in a deep breath and entered the store. 

I instantly smelled perfume from the perfume section across the store; the ground was made up of marble and my feet made a sound as I entered the boutique. The entire store was lit up with bright lights that nearly blinded me. 

I blinked a few times, trying to adjust my eyes to the scenery. I scanned the store, eyeing all the elegant clothing that I would have never been able to afford before. Older women were going through the aisles and trying on the clothing like they have done this a million times before. 

I felt so out of place.  

I went towards one of the aisles, but an unfamiliar presence made me pause. I stared up at this tall and thin woman. She had her hands on her perfectly curved hips and she was tilting her body to the side as she stared at me. She narrowed her eyes at me, and her lips were pressed into a thinned-out line across her narrow and gorgeous face. 

“What the hell do you think you are doing?” She asked, her tone making me shiver uncontrollably. 

“I.. uh…” I stammered; I wanted to explain to her that I was there per orders of the wolf king, but I couldn’t get the words out of my mouth. 

“Can’t you read?” She barked. “Oh wait… you are an omega. Of course, you can’t read.” She rolled her eyes as she said that last part. “No omegas allowed in my store.” 

“I’m sorry?” I asked, trying to keep my tone even. 

“This store is for Alphas and Betas only. Wolves like you belong in a thrift store. Look at your disgusting clothing. You make me sick just looking at you…”  

“Look, I’m…” I tried to say but she rose her hand to silence me. 

“I don’t care what you have to say,” she said, folding her arms across her chest. “You need to leave my store before I get security to remove you. I won’t have you contaminating my boutique with your omega stench.” 

The look on her face showed such disgust; my heart fell into my stomach. I looked around at all the eyes that were looking in our direction. I could hear the snickering and the chuckling of those around me. My face heated up with such embarrassment; it took everything I had not to turn away and run from the store. 

“I apologize…” I tried to say again, but her scoff was so loud it silenced me. 

“Shut the fuck up, omega,” she barked, fury flashing through her dark gaze. “Get the hell out of my store!” She jabbed her long and manicured fingernail into my chest, making me stumble backward. 

“Who the hell dares to speak to my luna with such disrespect?” 

A familiar haze fell over me and I could feel Nora’s tension easing. The woman stared at me with her eyes glossed over as she froze for a moment. She eventually pulled her gaze from me and looked over my head to the man that stood behind me, draping a protective arm around my shoulder and pulling me away from her. 

“A.. Alpha King!?” She breathed.
