Chapter 112:Dangerous Claims
(Third-person's POV)
The black SUV disappeared down the winding road, its tinted windows concealing its occupants. Alexander stood by the security gates, his fists clenched so tightly his nails bit into his palms. He didn't need to see who was inside. He already knew.
"Roman," he hissed under his breath, the name thick with venom.
Jason stood beside him, his face a mask of grim confirmation. "This explains a lot, Alpha. The guards—" he gestured toward the heavily armed sentries flanking the entrance— "they didn't even hesitate to lower their defenses for the vehicle."
Alexander's jaw ticked. "Absolute deference," he muttered. "No hesitation, no questions."
Jason nodded solemnly. "Whoever was in that car holds power over them. It has to be Roman. Scarlett wouldn’t have this level of influence alone."
