Aaron’s POV
I stumble to a stop in the middle of the forest, most of the boys in the pack stopping with me. They straighten, glancing at each other and looking around.
‘What is it, Aaron?’ Peter asks in my head, and I nearly growl. Aaron. That’s Beth’s nickname for me.
I stop, shaking my head. ‘I don’t know. I… felt something.’
It was weird; like a pain in my shoulder. It felt like a hand pressing on it, a ghost hand. Pain, yes, but faded… Distant. Like it wasn’t my own.
Weird.
‘It’s nothing, guys,’ I send out to the pack, sending a proud smile to those surrounding me. Even more surprising, is that every single person stuck with me when I told them what was happening. Yes, I had told them about Beth’s old pack, but not who her father was. I didn’t think I’d have to.
