CHAPTER 12 STICK IN THE MUD
CLAIRE
"Are you sure we should not alert the Pack police?"
I whispered frightfully as we peered out the window into the darkness outside.
Irene had woken everyone up with a shriek. It didn't take long for Willow and me to dart out of our rooms and into her little room.
She had pointed outside the window, and it was how we came to meet with the blazing eyes of a big wolf watching our apartment in the dark.
"Do you think he's the one?" I whispered breathlessly.
"Wesley?" Willow asked, and her voice seemed calmer than I could ever have.
"Who's Wesley?" Irene harped on the question with nothing but fear in her eyes, "Is he going to hurt us?" Came her little voice.
"What? No, go back to sleep. It's just the pack security making sure we're right. But come sleep in my room." Willow left the window towards the door just to be sure Irene was relaxed and without any thoughts of danger.
