CHAPTER 328 THE ONE
“This is Lunaria,” his mother had said with a comforting hand on Marcus’s shoulder.
He felt like he was stuck in time, his heart beating loudly in his chest that he could even hear it in his ears.
The lady who had been standing before him at the stall—was now in his family’s home and no more so a stranger to his family.
It was as if Fate itself had decided to throw her in his path twice when he couldn’t get to see what she looked like earlier in the day.
Her presence seemed to fill the room because he had sensed her before actually seeing her, and the utmost familiar and comforting space of his home now felt second compared to how he felt near her.
"Lunaria?" Marcus echoed, his voice barely above a whisper as he took in her appearance.
The name rolled off his tongue like a foreign object, in complete contrast to how familiar she looked.
At that moment, he could feel everyone's eyes on him, especially Marla's, whose earlier teasing had vanished, replaced by a cautious curiosity.
