CHAPTER 367 ONE BUDGE
Adam watched as Elora stood at the gate, her eyes following Fawn until she disappeared into the Academy. He had come there early that morning with nothing else to do than to satisfy the curiosity that tugged at his chest.
The previous night, his cousin had also seen her and Esme fighting, and he needed to know why and what the history was between the two women who somewhat acted alike. After trying to get the truth out of Esme, she would not oblige, nor would she respond to his cousin’s questions.
The last resort was Elora.
He approached slowly, hands in his jacket pockets, unsure of how to begin after everything that had happened yesterday with Alpha Hudson and Claire.
“Elora,” he began, his voice low but firm as they faced each other in front of the Academy’s gates. “We need to talk.”
She sighed, clearly bracing herself for another confrontation. “If this is about yesterday, I already know I messed up; I didn’t mean to get you into trouble with the Alpha. You see, I thought—”
