Getting down from the car at the front of the pouch before it was moved to the underground garage, I felt uneasy, which was new to me as I always feel confident about myself or things around me, but this was different as I couldn't predict what was making me feel this way.
The icy chill of tension, rather than the usual warmth I was accustomed to, greeted me as I walked through the foyer and into the living room. Something was amiss as I felt a chill shiver run down my spine. I knew what was causing it, so I immediately turned to the staircase to see Bailey standing at the bottom of the staircase. Her eyes were burning fiercely with anger as she launched into a long, angry, and violent speech about my lateness. Yeah, I agree I was late, but does she have to bite at me just because of that and not even welcome me well with her usual kisses and hugs?
