ALYSIA
Everything felt cold. It was the kind of cold that seeped into your bones and wanted to make your curl into yourself because it felt painful. And the silence. It was terrifying and it didn’t help that I couldn’t see anything.
I felt lost. Was I dead? The thought struck me with fear and I shook my head violently to dispel that thought. I couldn’t leave Damon.
The darkness was scary, and it was everywhere. It wrapped around me as whispers of doubt and fears fell into my ears. I couldn’t tell where I was. I didn’t know where the darkness started or where it ended.
I tried to move at first, but my body wouldn’t cooperate.
“Hello?” I spoke and my voice echoed in the dark, the sound distant and hollow “Is anyone there?”
A flicker of light appeared before me. It had a soft and solver glow to it as it pulsed gently. Drawn to the light and the glimmer of hope that bloomed in my chest. I reached for it.
