CHAPTER THIRTY THREE A HAPLESS SURVIVOR
JADE’S POV
My body feels numb, but I can still feel something, meaning I'm probably still here in this world; I'm alive. I don't know how that is even possible, but I can't open my eyes, maybe because I'm too tired or because I'm also scared. I don't want to see what awaits me when I confirm I'm here, so I stay still. I contemplate what to do, but I don't move even when someone comes in, a lady, I think, because of the humming, and I finally summon the courage to open my eyes when she's gone.
I notice I've been covered in a gray cotton blanket and black silk sheets. I glance around the room, and although the decor is minimal, it complements the entire room wonderfully. The dark-colored room is even darker since the lights are off, so I struggle to stand and turn them on. I gasp at how huge the room is before I start exploring like I didn't just try to kill myself seconds ago.
