CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT THE RUNAWAY
JADE’S POV
I hurriedly head to the front gate, but I stop and turn back when I notice some armed, scary-looking men patrolling the area. I hide in one of the bushes and patiently wait for them to go elsewhere, but they don't budge, so I think of a different action plan. I started looking for another exit, but since I needed to learn the area better, I couldn't tell where to go and where I could be restricted.
I debate going back inside, but that's not an option either since he could've seen the note by now and could have been looking for me inside at this precise moment. He could come outside now, and I wouldn't know how to explain myself to him, so I silently creep away to see if there's another entrance or gate I can crawl away from, but I don't find any.
I hide behind the house for some time, and I'm not sure what to do, but then and there, I receive a message that eases my worry. The message is from Lydia, and although she doesn't seem happy, she seems like a godsend to me
