Chapter 303
On the sixteenth day of the Lunar New Year, David Davies was getting ready to leave for Alderwen to study.
Daniel Richards was flying with him personally and planned to stay a few days, long enough to make sure David settled in before heading back to Caelmoor.
All the luggage had been packed—Mrs. Henderson and Ruby Henderson had it all covered.
Alderwen was cold this time of year. Mrs. Henderson had prepared several sets of warm clothes for David, filling up two massive suitcases. Thankfully, they were taking a private jet, so no stress about baggage limits. Plus, the apartment he’d be staying in was top-tier, with two full-time housekeepers and a driver on call.
That setup was entirely Daniel’s doing—after all, David wasn’t even 18 yet.
Ruby finally relaxed once she heard that. She’d been so afraid he’d insist on “being a man,” living hard to prove a point, which would’ve just started another argument. She also packed a ton of books for him—hard to find those in Alderwen, and shipping
