Chapter 520
Chloe Grace walked in with a few snowflakes still clinging to her coat, the winter chill following closely behind her. She carefully took off her coat at the door, hung it up neatly, and carried the desserts inside, calling Autumn and Gabriel over to eat.
The two kids sat obediently at the table, their manners prim and proper, the polished demeanor of children raised in a wealthy family. As they ate, neither rushed nor made a mess. Chloe sat nearby, a gentle smile spreading across her face.
Autumn bit into a piece of mung bean cake, her small mouth busy reporting, “Mom, earlier Gabriel and I were by the window, and we saw Uncle Quinn! Dad wasn’t happy—he struggled to get out of bed to take a look, all angry and moody.
