CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND SEVEN – A DIVIDED HOUSE
As the sun began to set, Erik stood, his expression grim. "I've heard enough. While I... appreciate the idealism of your goals, I cannot in good conscience support actions that would put my pack at risk. I warn you now – stay away from my territory, from my people. Any attempts to recruit or influence my pack members will be seen as an act of aggression."
The rogue leaders exchanged glances, their disappointment evident. Logan stood as well, his voice low but firm. "We respect your position, Alpha Fairchild. But know this – we will continue our fight. The world is changing, and werewolves must change with it if we hope to survive."
As Erik and Anna left the cabin, the weight of the failed negotiations hung heavy between them. Anna's mind raced, trying to find a way to salvage the situation. She couldn't shake the feeling that both sides had valid points – and that there had to be a way to find a middle ground.
