CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY - THE WEREWOLF HUNTERS
As Erik hurried off to deal with the latest crisis, Anna turned back to her notes. She had been over them a hundred times, but she refused to give up. There had to be something she was missing, some clue that would break the case wide open.
Her eyes fell on Lydia Blackwood's file. The former housekeeper remained their best lead, but tracking her down had proved frustratingly difficult. Anna had exhausted every conventional method of finding her, but Lydia seemed to have vanished into thin air.
Suddenly, an idea struck her. If Lydia was hiding, she might be using a different name. It was a long shot, but at this point, Anna was willing to try anything.
She spent the next several days combing through records of nearby towns, looking for anyone who matched Lydia's description and had appeared around the time she left the mansion. It was tedious work, but Anna's persistence finally paid off.
In a small town about an hour's drive from the mansion, she found a woman named Linda Baker who
