“Why was I…what?” I asked.
“Why were you saying Bob’s name in your sleep?” Andrew repeated slowly.
I blinked. Suddenly, the color escaped from my face.
I knew that I had screamed for Bob in my dream, had begged him to stop, but I didn’t know that the words had left my mouth in real life. How was I supposed to explain this to him?
Andrew had taken it well enough when I had explained the investigation to him, but I doubted that the same would happen if I tried to tell him that Bob had attacked and threatened me. I might have had Jeffrey’s word to back me up, but Bob had Lisa wrapped around his finger, and with Andrew and Lisa’s relationship already on thin ice because of me, I couldn’t take the chance of making that ice even thinner.
