Chapter 200
ELORA'S POV
The sound of someone knocking pulled me out of sleep slowly, like I was being dragged back into my body instead of waking up naturally. My head throbbed dully, the kind of ache that reminded me I hadn’t rested properly in days…maybe weeks.
I groaned and turned on my side, the sheets cool against my skin. My eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains.
“Come in,” I said, my voice hoarse as I pushed myself up and sat against the headboard, tugging the sheets down to my waist.
The door opened quietly and Lucian stepped in.
He held a tray in both hands carefully, almost cautious, like he was afraid of dropping it. He paused when he saw I was staring back at him, his shoulders relaxing just a little.
“Good morning,” he said.
I blinked at him. “Good morning.”
He walked closer and placed the tray gently on the bed in front of me. I stared at it before looking back up at him, confused.
“I noticed you didn’t eat much last night,” he said.
