Since the moment I stepped foot into this house, I hadn't set eyes on Elora. Of course I hadn't. She didn't have the courage to show her face around me and Lucian's friends—the people who actually belonged here. Why would she? She knew she wasn't welcomed. She knew exactly how out of place she was.
The others hadn't said anything, but I could see it on their faces too. The fake smiles, the quiet judgement…it was all there. And Elora must have felt it, otherwise she would've been down already, fluttering about like the little attention seeker she was.
