Georgina was watching TV in the living room when Klaus came in. She had chosen the saddest movie she could find and filled her mouth with unsalted popcorn, deeply buried in her melancholy. She didn't even bother to look up when Klaus entered the room, but she could still see him in the corner of her eyes.
Klaus chuckled at the sight of her. She was adorable with that angry face, far from being intimidating. His wolf Alex whimpered inside, distressed at their mate's obvious displeasure. But still, he didn't want her to be upset with him.
"Hey," he greeted.
Georgina didn't say anything, pretending to be more interested in the movie. Klaus came closer and asked:
"Why didn't you answer my phone calls? I tried at least a dozen times. Don't you know that I get worried when I can't reach you?"
She still didn't say anything. Klaus sighed heavily:
"Are you upset because I left without telling you? I had something urgent to deal with and didn't think it would matter anyway... I'm sorry. I promis
