Alice felt it all just too weird, so in the end, she decided not to tell Edward.
At 7 PM, an hour before the live broadcast, a sudden knock came at her door.
"Miss Summer, are you busy? If you're free, would you mind coming to the living room for a quick talk about tonight’s live stream?"
"Oh, sure," Alice replied, tucking her phone under the blanket and getting up to open the door.
Standing outside was Kevin Clarke, the oldest of the regular guests.
Alice gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry, am I holding you guys up?"
"Not at all. Honestly, this live setup's new for all of us. Everyone’s a bit lost right now," Kevin said with a warm grin and led her to the living room.
The wooden-paneled space was tight—aside from a table and a few stools, there wasn’t room for much, so most of the guests were already sitting cross-legged on the carpet.
When Alice arrived, the others were already deep in discussion, but clearly not on the same page. Everyone had something to say, and not a lot of agreement
