As I stood in the middle of my childhood room, now transformed into a lavish space with a dressing room added just for me, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. The room was decorated exactly as my mother remembered my preferences from when I was a child—soft pastel colors, delicate lace curtains, and shelves filled with dolls and books. It was surreal, like stepping into a memory I had long forgotten.
“Bella,” my mother said, her voice warm and filled with affection. “This is your home now. You should come back and live here. There’s plenty of space, and it would be wonderful if you could bring your husband too.”
