Chapter 107 – Meeting with Adrian
Adrian’s driver pulled the dark vehicle up to the front of The Publishing House building. Adrian waited for his driver to open his car door before stepping out of the vehicle. He looked up at the tall structure and snarled. He was fully aware of who owned it and was in no mood to deal with him.
Adrian stepped inside, walked over to the elevator that was closest, and pressed the button to go up. His lawyer standing next to him was quivering with fear.
“You need to pull yourself together, or they will see right through you,” he warned.
“I can’t help it, sir; you know I am not comfortable talking with other people. I work best in quiet, dark settings and digging up skeletons in people’s closets. Why isn’t Carmichael here handling this for you?” he questioned.
“Carmichael is not available at the moment. You, on the other hand, are. Now get in the elevator; we are late.” Adrian commanded.
