It was the first time Denise ever took the initiative to contact Nathan, the first time she'd called him.
"Alright," Nathan agreed.
She honestly thought he’d turn her down. But surprisingly, he said yes without even hesitating.
"Where are you?" Nathan asked.
"I… where are you? I’ll come to you," Denise offered, remembering his leg injury. It made more sense for her to go to him.
"Okay, I’ll send you the address on WhatsApp," Nathan replied before hanging up.
A few minutes later, Denise received the location, glanced at it, and ordered a ride.

He always looked like he had something on his mind, always deep in thought—like something was weighing him down that no one else could see through.
"You’re here," Nathan said calmly when he noticed her walking in.
"Yeah. You’re by yourself? Where’s Jack?" she asked, a little surprised.
