Without wasting a second, she pulled out her phone and dialed Jason's number.
But all she got was that cold automated shutdown message. Heart sinking, she didn’t hesitate—rushed outside and hailed a cab straight to the Harrington Group.
It was rush hour at the Harrington building, and Denise couldn’t help but wonder—why on earth was Jason’s phone off? Busy was one thing, but being unreachable like that didn’t sit right.
She made her way up to the 20th floor—Jason’s office level.
