Chapter Title: (75)-02
Marley sucked her lower lip between her teeth, thinking of the confrontation that Gabby missed in the alley that day, "He and Aiden..."
"I figured," Gabby inputted, "They haven't even looked at each other or been around each other from what I've seen. Let me guess, he put his foot in his mouth, right?"
"You ruined his fucking future."
Marley flinched at the memory, "Something like that."
"I'm not surprised. It's his classic defence mechanism," she muttered, the two of them taking a brief pause to bite from their sandwiches and try their coffees.
"Do you think, that Aiden should forgive him?" she asked her best friend tentatively, whose chewing halted temporarily.
"I don't even know if I forgive him," she sighed, shaking her head, "It just sucks when people only know they need you after they've already lost you."
Marley thought of Gavin immediately, "Your brother, he hasn't called you has he?"
