#Chapter 39 A little darkness is in order

Dylan Something was wrong. I felt it so intensely that I doubled over when I got out of bed. My insides burned and it felt as if something was in pain… or someone. I tried to forget her for weeks. I did everything I could to get her out of my mind and be at peace with the fact that I couldn’t reach her—but her face was front and centered in my mind when that phantom pain hit me. Was she in trouble? Did someone hurt her? It didn’t matter if she was. I wouldn’t be able to save her from—this. Whatever this was. I gripped my windowsill as the pain passed through me.
