Chapter 504
Ryan felt as sad as Sherry. Leaving a woman stranded in the desert made him feel like a horrible person. He slapped himself to release his frustration.
His mind was flooded with images of Sherry's death. He wanted to tell Sherry how silly she was and how he didn't deserve her love.
He trudged forward, lost in self-blame and sorrow. The sun was close to the horizon, and the sunset bathed the desert in an orange glow. It was vast and magnificent.
All of a sudden, he snapped back to his senses.
"Oh no, I went the wrong way!"
He recalled that it had taken him a long time to get out of the jungle and head toward Sherry. It should have taken him the same amount of time to return to the jungle. However, there was not even a glimpse of leaves in sight.
This could only mean that he went the wrong way!
He'd initially followed the footprints he'd left when he came. However, lost in the thoughts of Sherry, he strayed from the path.
"It's over for me!" Ryan observed the desert and descended
