#Chapter 369: The Missing Link

Abby is doing so great during her testimony. She’s practically a natural at this, and is telling every little detail of her story—even the upsetting or downright embarrassing parts.
I should be here for her, and I am; but part of me is somewhere else. Ever since that regal-looking Alpha walked in, I can’t seem to tear my eyes away from him.
“He’s familiar,” my wolf says, stirring restlessly inside of me. “Like I know him, somehow…”
I swallow as I stare at the man across the room. I think he might be Damon’s father, judging by the expression on his face as he watches the prince fidget nervously in his chair. It’s a look of pure and utter disappointment, as if this is his final straw.
But I don’t know this man. I never have. I mean, how could I possibly know him? He’s a king from a distant chain of eastern islands. I grew up in the North, nowhere even near the coast.
And yet… Something just keeps making me want to stare at him.
“I feel it, too,” I reply inwardly
