He said he wanted to talk to me and I agreed. I thought we’re just going to talk inside his car so I was really surprised when he started the engine and drove off. And now we’re here on the beach, the breeze blew gently against our skin as we watched and listened to the sound of the waves crashing the shore somehow calmed my insides. Everything seemed so perfect when we’re together, yet it was a disaster too. A beautiful kind of disaster. It felt so serene here. With him. Like I have nothing else to worry about in the world. Like all my problems were washed by the ocean. I shifted my gaze from the ocean to Tyler who was now leaning his head against his seat, his eyes closed. He took a deep breath before he spoke. “I always love the smell of the ocean, just like the
