"You are blushing," he said teasingly. "I haven't even started yet."
The implication of his words made me blush even more. I turned my head aside to avoid his gaze. "I'm not. It's… a bit hot tonight."
"I see. Maybe our proximity has raised the temperature." He nudged my arm. "Don't worry. I'll help you cool down."
With a teasing smile, he opened the door and led me into the room. The dim lighting cast a golden hue across the space, creating a warm cocoon around us. Lucian closed the door, and for a moment, we stood in silence, simply looking at each other.
