Victoria's POV:
I ignored the buzzing of my phone, focusing on the road ahead.
The race had been a near-death experience, and my hands were still trembling slightly on the steering wheel. I had just texted Kane to obtain the surveillance footage. Soon, I would know exactly who had helped me on that track.
"Grace," I said, turning to my best friend, "you should stay here to collect the car. I need to go to the Pack Justice Center to give my statement."
Grace's face creased with worry. "I'm coming with you. You shouldn't face those two alone."
"Don't worry about me," I assured her with more confidence than I felt. "I'll be fine."
Damian and Felix didn't try to stop me as I left. Within minutes, I was back in my car heading downtown when my phone chimed with a message from Kane.
"Victoria, we found him. It was him who came to the track."
