Chapter 653 Come By Anytime
That evening, when Bella got home, she collapsed onto the couch, too tired to move.
Dominic walked in shortly after and smirked at the sight of her sprawled out. He said, "See? I told you to stay home and enjoy the easy life, but no, you wouldn't listen. Now you're exhausted."
She gave him a lazy glare and responded, "Can't I be happily tired? Running a small business like ours isn't the same as working in a big corporation like yours. We only get one day off a week, and honestly, being able to take holidays at all is a blessing. I'm not complaining."
He sat down beside her and leaned in slightly. "How about a barbecue at Ian's place on Sunday? It'll be a nice break, and it's not far."
Bella frowned, trying to remember where Ian's house was. "Which place?"
Dominic paused for a moment before replying, "The one near the big wheat fields."
That jogged her memory. The place had left a lasting impression on her. It was where she'd been shot, leading to her daughter's premature birth.
