Ciara
Seated across the couch downstairs, I sent an email across to Leric from home that I would be taking a maternal leave.
When that was all done, I passed up the time by scrolling through the television channels while I awaited Jonathan's return from work.
Then, I heard a knock on the front door. Weird. I wasn't expecting anyone. "Who is it?"
"It's me, Ciara"
That voice. It belonged to Roxi. Sprinting towards the front door, I twist the knob. She looked like she was on the verge of crying. "Are you alright?"
She shakes her head in disagreement. "Can I come in?"
Moving aside for her, I helped to the couch. "Do you want a cup of tea?"
"I'm-"
"You don't look fine, Roxi" I cut her off. "So tell me what's really going on"
"Last night, I got Jax to divorce me"
I stilled. Not sure how to take this. Did the divorce make her feel sad?.
I guess she was allowed to feel that way since they'd been lover since highschool.
"Does it hurt you to finally let him go?" I inquired.
"You seem to misunder
