Kassai Maxton had called and told me to meet him at Emmiel's bar. I'd contemplated coming up with an excuse to avoid meeting up with him but, Alena had told me to face it head on so that I would be able to quickly get over it. Strolling into the bar, I walked towards Emmiel by the counter. "Hey. Is Maxton here?" "He's waiting for you in the VIP section upstairs" "Thank you" Heading up the stairs, I played over the words I wanted to say to Maxton on repeat in my head but as soon as my gaze fell on Maxton, I forgot all I had to say. He was seated on a couch at the far end of the VIP section. I remained where I stood, putting some distance between us. "You came" He says. "Well, you called" "I've been calling you since yesterday morning, Kass" Maxton says as a matter of fact. "You've clearly been avoiding me. Why?" Why?. "You know why, Maxton" "I remember everything that happened that day" He claims. "I'm the one that kissed you so why are YOU the one avoiding me?" "Because I know you want
