Sloane shook her head the moment the blood amber was mentioned.
“I don’t like it,” she said plainly. “I’m a doctor. I see blood every single day. Wearing something like that would make me feel physically uncomfortable.”
Her tone was calm, but firm, there was no room for persuasion.
Dominic didn’t question her, nor did he try to change her mind. The moment her words settled, he simply stopped bidding.
