Simon frowned. "She needs to go to the hospital right now."
Without sparing him a glance, William scooped Jeanette into his arms and turned to leave for the hospital.
In all three years of their marriage, he'd never touched her. This was the first time he'd ever held her, and she felt so light and frail that it seemed a single gush of wind could blow her away.
William tightened his arms around Jeanette and felt an unusual unease settle over him.
Giselle glanced at him, then bit her lip and followed.
At the hospital, Jeanette was taken in for examination after William paid the fees. Even so, he waited outside and showed no intention of leaving.
At that, the look on Giselle's face turned uglier. She took a deep breath, settled into the seat beside him, and said casually, "Hasn't Jeanette always been perfectly fine? How could she suddenly vomit blood?"
When William remained silent, she continued, "Will, do you think she could be faking it? Before we arrived, she was perfectly fine
