Sophia's eyes turned red in a second. She tilted her head up and looked pitifully at Alexander. When she didn't see much of a reaction from him, she turned to Eira. "Ms. Johnson, you misunderstood. I hurt my leg this morning by accident-Alex was just worried, that's why I'm in a wheelchair."
She lifted her hand wrapped in bandages. "My hand's healing pretty well lately, so no need to worry about that."
The way she said it, you'd think Eira was actually concerned about her injuries.
Noticing how Alexander had stayed quiet the whole time, Sophia instinctively glanced back at him-only to catch that his gaze was locked on Eira. His brows were furrowed, sure, but the feeling of being completely overlooked still hit her hard.
Sophia tugged on his sleeve gently and said with a soft voice, "I've already heard about the photo thing from Alex. I don't get why Ms. Johnson would do something like that... what if it really upsets Grandma?"
