Aisha's POV
The first thing I noticed was the silence.
Not the kind that fills a hospital at night with sterile beeps and whispered footsteps. This was different,thicker. Deeper. The kind that wraps around you like a snare.
The sheets beneath me were too soft. The air too still. My wolf stirred uneasily.
This wasn't the hospital.
