Aisha's POV
I had made my decision.
After talking with Simon, I realized that leaving now, with Jack still searching for me, would be reckless. No matter how much I wanted to pursue my dreams, I wouldn't make it far if I was dead.
For now, I had to wait.
To distract myself from my own frustrations, I threw myself into work at the pack hospital. Healing was what I did best, it was the only thing that made me feel like I was truly in control. I was checking on an injured warrior when I saw a familiar figure moving gracefully between patients.
Emma.
She had her sleeves rolled up, hands stained with medicine as she carefully bandaged a young soldier's wound. I hadn't expected to see her here, but I was impressed. Despite her delicate appearance, she wasn't afraid of hard work.
When she noticed me, her expression softened, and she gave me a small wave.
I walked over and helped her secure the last of the wrappings. She smiled at me and then brought her fingers up, moving them in fluid motion
