A few hours later, the doctor returned with the results, holding a file in his hand. His face was serious, but there was a hint of relief in his voice.
“Oasis is a perfect match,” he said. “We can proceed with the transplant immediately.”
Elyana gasped softly, her hand covering her mouth as tears welled in her eyes. Daimon stood beside her, his expression unreadable for a moment then his shoulders relaxed with a deep breath.
“Thank God,” he whispered.
“Jessica’s condition is critical,” the doctor continued. “We need to start the procedure right away if we want to give her the best chance.”
