Chapter 20
Raphael sat alone at the dining table and stared at the two plates of pasta in front of him. His eyes reddened as his emotions overwhelmed him.
"Mr. Lindberg, the spaghetti is going to harden," Gillian reminded gently as she approached, noticing the untouched food.
Raphael looked up and offered with a forced smile. "Would you like to have some supper? I think I did pretty well."
Gillian chuckled. "Sure, Mr. Lindberg. I'd be glad to join you."
They sat together at the table and ate the pasta.
After taking a bite, Gillian couldn't help but praise Raphael, "This pasta is delicious, Mr. Lindberg! How did you make them? You'll have to teach me!"
So what if it was delicious? Catherine had said that she didn't like pasta anymore.
