As the evening fell, Juniper stepped outside and handed Grace a glass of juice. "Drink this and get some rest."
Grace hesitated, her lips parting as if to tell Juniper about James' whereabouts. But she stopped herself.
Juniper's usual demeanor was to critique James. If she learned he might be in danger, she'd panic, bombard him with calls, and make it harder for him to focus.
If James didn't answer her call, her worry would only spiral at home.
Grace decided to keep quiet. She accepted the juice with a smile. "Thanks, Juniper."
"What's with the thanks? We're family. There's no need for such formality."
Looping her arm around Juniper's, Grace grinned. "I was just being polite."
Oliver worked in his study for over two hours before finally heading to the bedroom. He deliberately softened his steps, careful not to disturb Grace if she was already asleep.
