"That's not for you to decide," Drake said to me, and his smile widened. He got up from the couch and got close to me. Looking into my eyes, he handed me the remote, and he turned around. "I'm sorry for what happened to you. We've all had heartbreaking moments. Just don't think too much, okay? It will do you no good."
With those words, he left me alone in the living room, just as I wanted. I took a deep breath, thinking about our conversation. But I turned on the TV anyway. Like he had said, I shouldn't think too much. It would do me no good.
I spent two hours in the living room before I went upstairs to get some sleep. The next morning, I woke up after hearing multiple knocks on the door. Sasha was still sleeping. Seriously? I was the only one who heard someone banging on the door.
"Who's there?" I asked, yawning. I scratched my head as I got up from the bed.
