Drake’s face turned red with frustration. “So, you’re saying you’re not interested in him at all? That you’re just here for a friendly game?”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” I shot back. “And even if I were interested in Justin, it wouldn’t be any of your concern. We’re not together anymore, remember? You don’t get to control who I spend time with or how I move on.”
Justin stood beside me, clearly uncomfortable but not backing down. “Drake, maybe you should just leave. You’re not adding anything constructive to the situation.”
Drake’s anger flared. “You know what? Fine. If that’s how it’s going to be, then I’m out of here.”
He stormed out, leaving a tense silence behind. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart.
Justin put a hand on my shoulder, his expression a mix of concern and sympathy. “You okay?”
