Claire softened, realizing that beneath all the bravado, Daniela truly did care. "We know, Mrs. Steele. And we appreciate that. But perfect for us might look different than what you had in mind."
Mason squeezed Claire's hand, a small smile playing on his lips. "So, what do you say we start over? Plan the wedding we actually want?"
As Claire looked around the room, she saw nods of agreement, even a begrudging one from Daniela. For the first time in weeks, she felt a glimmer of excitement about the wedding.
"Alright," Claire said, a genuine smile spreading across her face. "Let's plan our perfect day. Together."
