CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY: HAPPILY EVER AFTER
As the afternoon wore on, Claire tried to stay focused on the positives. The flowers had arrived and looked beautiful. The catering team was setting up, filling the air with delicious aromas. And most importantly, in just a few hours, she would be married to the love of her life.
But as the ceremony start time approached, a new challenge arose. Dark clouds began rolling in from the horizon, bringing with them the rumble of distant thunder.
Claire stood at the window of her suite, watching the storm approach with a growing sense of dread. Emily appeared at her side, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Maybe it'll pass," Emily said, though her tone lacked conviction.
Claire nodded, trying to hold onto hope. "Maybe. And if it doesn't... well, we'll figure something out. We always do."
Just as Claire was about to start getting ready - dress or no dress - there was a commotion in the hallway. Evelyn burst into the room, her face flushed with excitement.
