For the past days that passed, I felt like I’m walking on the edge of a blade. The fear of that nightmare happening again was too much, and it’s consuming me.
It’s been a week, and I haven’t been able to forget that night. That stormy, cold night. It haunted me in my sleeping and waking hours. Every second felt like a torture.
I wanted to forget it. I was trying so hard. I don’t want Matteo, Noah, or anyone I care about to worry about me.
Damon hasn’t been found, and it was what fueled my fear. His body wasn’t found in the lake. His two accomplices vanished. The police have identified them, but they couldn’t find any clue about their whereabouts.
There’s a big possibility that he’s somewhere, alive and plotting revenge. A revenge that I don’t deserve because it was him who hurt and harmed me.
