I held the little animal, gently rubbing its fur with my fingers. My tense face finally relaxed a little as I gave a pitiful nod.
"Okay."
"You!" Abigail's expression shifted instantly, her face darkening in anger. "You two know each other?"
Sophia bit her lip. "Abby, I was just about to say—they do know each other."
Abigail's face turned even darker as she shot Sophia a glare full of blame and frustration.
Sophia glanced at me again, her voice a mix of guilt and temptation. "Isabella, weren't you asking where the last dragon is? It's with my mom. But she's hidden it really well. You won't find it. Though... if you help Abby get closer to Jordan, maybe I can bring it to you."
Abigail cleared her throat and straightened up, trying really hard to look soft and sweet toward Jordan.
"Jordan, huh? That's such a lovely name."
I couldn't help the cold smirk that crept onto my face. If Jordan were seriously looking for someone, no way he’d go for someone like Abigail.
